King's All-Stars, jamming the best of Memphis and Motown in the B.B. King Blues Club in the Queen's Lounge on Deck 2 midship. From funky and fast to soulful and smooth, the eight-piece band plays three 45-minute segments nightly. Late night, the Queen's Lounge becomes a club for dancing the night away.
Eurodam Staterooms
The mirrors with integrated LED lighting enable guests to see themselves better (probably better than they want to), and the bathrooms also have new floor tiles and night lights. The television system has also been upgraded to an interactive system and now includes complimentary movies on demand, access to the daily program, and information on the cruise ship. Once on shore, we headed off to our optional excursions. We picked one of the many excursions for every port on our Eastern Caribbean cruise. Our excursions were typically 1-2 hours, leaving us enough time to explore on our own before returning to the ship. One of our favorite excursions was our helicopter flight over Grand Turk.

Holland America has always been more subdued on the activity front than some of its competitors -- but that doesn't mean days aboard Eurodam are without entertainment. In fact, a quick look at the ship's daily program reveals a plethora of events happening through the day. It's quality over quantity when it comes to entertainment on Eurodam, and that's okay with us.

The MS Eurodam is included in the cruise line’s Signature Class Class. In the cruise ship stats below, you’ll find the MS Eurodam vs all of the other Holland America ships. I won’t declare her the love of my life yet because I want NCL’s Pride of America (I’m booked on her for Hawaii in February) to think she still has a shot. In addition to Club HAL and teen activities, kids' programming, cartoons and age-appropriate movies air on the in-cabin television. A variety of classes are offered throughout the cruise including Pilates, spinning and yoga, all for a fee of $12 for 45 minutes. This venue is called Billboard Onboard and is part of the Music Walk. One of the biggest changes to the Eurodam is the new Gallery Bar next to the Casino. This sophisticated bar replaces the Northern Lights disco and bar. As its name suggests, the Gallery Bar is decorated with an interesting mix of artwork of many different styles. The bar has an exclusive cocktail menu designed by celebrity mixologist Dale DeGroff, and this whimsical design and relaxing atmosphere is a great new addition to the Eurodam. There is more than enough treadmills, elliptical, bikes, and weights for everyone.
This venue is packed on most nights, and I also enjoyed their music when on the Koningsdam. After a delicious meal, we typically headed to the piano bar for some great music and drink before retiring to our staterooms for the night. The ship also has a casino, nightclub, BB King’s blues club, several bars, and a MainStage show lounge.
HAL also offers complimentary beginner lessons (led by onboard instructors), sells branded pickleball starter kits (at the ship's retail shops) and Play Pickleball tutorial videos are included in the cabin TV programming. MS Eurodam boasts more dining options than any other ship in the fleet of Holland America besides her sister ms Nieuw Amsterdam. The seven different and distinct dining areas provide casual and formal options.
Join a pickleball tournament at sea and put your dink shot to the test. Learn the basics at complimentary beginner’s lessons, starting in spring 2023. There is was also breakfast in many of the restaurants around the ship, but we went with room service delivered every day, as this saved us time in the morning. My second favorite thing to do on a cruise is to walk laps around the promenade deck while listening to an audio book and obsessively watching for wildlife. It’s a good thing too, because my first favorite thing to do on a cruise, as was particularly evident on this short sailing, is eat like I’m building up a reserve of fat for a protracted winter hibernation. So before I headed back to my room for the night, I hit Ms Eurodam’s wide promenade deck which wraps fully around the ship and is completely open to passengers (this is sadly becoming more and more unusual on newer ships).
